Getafe vs Real Betis preview

In-form Getafe could climb to European places with three points from this match, whereas Real Betis can move to fourth if they happen to win at Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

Getafe had a pretty slow start to the new league campaign, which was hardly surprising seeing that the squad had undergone major changes in the summer.

However, as the season unfolded los Azulones started to raise their game and have now won 4 of their last 5 games in all competitions.

While losing to Levante at home, Getafe recorded narrow victories over Mallorca, Real Zaragoza and Athletic Bilbao, while they also hammered Ponferradina in Copa del Rey.

Taking all this into account, los Azulones look a good bet to win this game at odds of 2.00 (1/1) offered at SkyBet.

Having rested most of his starters in the 4-0 win over Ponferradina, boss Luis Garcia is set to restore his strongest line-up.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Moya – Miguel Torres, Rafa, Abraham, Valera – Xavi Torres, Juan Rodriguez – Pedro Leon, Barrada, Castro – Alvaro Vazquez.

After earning the tag of one of the most exciting sides in Spanish top flight, Real Betis have done little to live up to the billing this term.

Boss Pepe Mel decided to place a lot of emphasis on patching up the leaky defence rather than focusing on attacking phase, and such an approach has produced excellent results.

Real Betis not only picked up 16 points from first 9 games, but also kept five clean sheets in the process, which is just three short of eight they kept during the entire last season.

Team’s showings on the travels, however, have not been too impressive, and given they failed to score a single goal in last three away games, bear in mind Ladbrokes pay 2.75 (7/4) on Betis not to score.

Midfielder Ruben Perez is back in contention, but centre-back Mario Alvarez is doubtful. Juan Carlos Perez and Fabricio Agosto are definitely out.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Adrian – Nelson, Paulao, Alvarez, Martinez – Canas, Benat – Campbell, Sevilla, Perez – Castro.
