England head coach Gareth Southgate has said that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is fit to play against the USA this week.
The Three Lions will lock horns with the USA in their second Group B game at the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar on Friday.
England beat Iran 6-2 in their opening match,
Tottenham striker Kane started the match for Southgate’s team and gave two assists.
The striker was substituted in the second half after suffering an ankle injury.
There were concerns whether Kane would not be able to take to the pitch against the USA, but England head coach Southgate has said that the Tottenham star is ready.
Southgate told BBC Sport about Kane: “Harry is fine. He has worked slightly separately from the group but all good for Friday night. He had a scan [on Wednesday] to make sure everything is fine.”
England can be backed at 6/1 on Betfair to beat the USA 2-1.
