Newcastle United do not plan to sign former Manchester United and Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo in the January transfer window, according to 90min.

Ronaldo is a free agent at the moment following his departure from Premier League and European giants Manchester United.

Earlier this week, the Red Devils announced that they have come to an agreement with the 37-year-old to terminate his contract by mutual consent.

Ronaldo returned to United from Juventus in the summer of 2021 and was out of contract at Old Trafford in the summer of 2023.

The Portugal international forward recently gave an explosive interview to TV presenter Piers Morgan on TalkTV in which he criticised the club’s owners as well as head coach Erik ten Hag.

90min have reported that Newcastle will not sign Ronaldo as a free agent in the January transfer window.

The Premier League club have reportedly told the forward’s camp that they have no interest in him.

Ronaldo’s representatives recently approached Newcastle to see if they would be interested in him.

While the Magpies plan to add a forward to their squad in the January transfer window, they do not intend to bring Ronaldo to St. James’ Park.

Ronaldo made four starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League for United this season before his exit, scoring one goal in the process.

The 37-year-old scored two goals and gave two assists n six UEFA Europa League matches for the Red Devils.

Ronaldo is rated at 5/2 on Betfair to move to Chelsea as a free agent in the January transfer window.
