Newly promoted Deportivo La Coruna can make a real statement by beating Osasuna, a team that ended the last league campaign just four points behind Champions League places.

The Galician giants return to the elite division after spending just one season in Segunda and they look well prepared for the difficult season in the top flight.

Andres Guardado, Diego Colotto, Claudio Morel and Pablo Alvarez may have left the club, but the chiefs have done well to replace them with Andre Santos, Pizzi, Abel Aguiar, Nelson Oliveira, Roderick, Carlos Marchena and Javier Camunas.

The squad clearly look much stronger than last term, so no wonder Depor are 2.10 (11/10) with Ladbrokes to kick off their campaign with a win.

Boss Jose Luis Oltra has confirmed that Laure, Diogo Salomao and Ze Castro will all miss the Osasuna clash, but all new signings are in contention.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Aranzubia – Pablo, Roderick, Aythami, Evaldo – Aguiar, Marchena – Bruno Gama, Valeron, Camunas – Riki.

Even tough they had been predicted a difficult relegation struggle, Osasuna surprised everyone by entering the race for European places and they missed out on the European qualification by a single point.

Los Rojillos finished the season in 7th place, just four points behind fourth-placed Malaga, but repeating another such campaign could prove to be a difficult task.

The club have stayed without Dejan Lekic, Roversio, Javad Nekounam and Ibraima Balde, but they did sign some very good players in Nano, Sisi, Alejandro Arribas, Emiliano Armenteros and Joseba Llorente.

Following some promising showings in pre-season, Osasuna are 4.10 (31/10) with BetVictor to triumph at Riazor.

Boss Jose Luis Mendilibar has fitness worries over new signings Nano and Emiliano Armenteros, but Masoud Shojaei is available after the 15-month spell on the sidelines.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Fernandez – Damia, Arribas, Flano, Nano – Sisi, Punal, Cejudo, Armenteros – Nino, Llorente.
