Paris Saint Germain are already making their first moves to replace the outgoing Thiago Silva by eyeing Bayern Munich’s Lucas Hernandez.

The recently-crowned French champions have already confirmed that their long-serving skipper will be departing ahead of the 2020/21 campaign, alongside forward Edinson Cavani.

The club have already decided on the replacement they would like at the Parc des Princes, with that player being Bayern Munich’s Lucas Hernandez according to Cadena SER and Sport Bild.

The Frenchman has been with the German giants since arriving for a club-record fee of £72m from Atletico Madrid last summer. The World Cup winner has made 20 appearances in all competitions thus far in his debut season at the Allianz Arena.

His contract in Bavaria is set to run for another four seasons, meaning PSG would have to spend a considerable amount to secure his signature.

Whilst Ligue 1 has already been curtailed with PSG having been named as champions due to the worldwide coronavirus pandemic, Hernandez’s current employers Bayern could be lifting the Bundesliga crown as soon as tomorrow should they beat Werder Bremen away from home.

Hernandez, who is yet to score this season, sits at a price of 55/1 with Betfair to net the opening goal of the match.
