This weekend’s Premier League action kicks off at White Hart Lane where title challengers Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal face off in what is set to be the most fiercely contested North London derby in years.

Both sides go in to the game having failed to close the gap on leaders Leicester City on Wednesday evening, and a defeat for either side here will further damage their chances of finishing the season in first place.

Tottenham were beaten by West Ham United at Upton Park – a result which ended a six game winning streak in the league and left them three points of the pace in the race for the championship.

Victory here would see them leapfrog the Foxes thanks to their vastly superior goal difference, which currently stands at seven more than the East Midlands outfit.

Jan Vertonghen one again misses out with a knee injury while the hosts’ only other injury worry is Clinton N’Jie, with Moussa Dembele set to return after recovering from a groin injury and Dele Alli available after shaking off a slight ankle problem.

Harry Kane is favourite to get the first goal of the game at 5.5 (9/2) with a number of firms, with Alli a 9.0 (8/1) chance with Ladbrokes.

The home win is 2.4 (7/5) with Paddy Power with the visitors as highly priced as the 3.6 (13/5) on offer from Bet Victor. The draw can be backed at 3.2 (11/5) with a variety of bookmakers.

The Gunners extended their winless run to four games in all competitions after losing to Swansea City midweek and another defeat here could see them end the day nine points off first place should Leicester win at Watford in the late kick-off.

Petr Cech has been ruled out for up to four weeks with a calf injury so David Ospina will deputise in goal while Laurent Koscielny, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Tomas Rosicky, Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere are also missing.

Olivier Giroud is priced at 7.5 (13/2) to open the scoring with Coral, with Danny Welbeck an 8.0 (7/1) chance with the same firm.

The sides played out a 1-1 draw in the reverse league fixture at the Emirates Stadium back in November and that was the fourth meeting in a row where both teams have scored in the game.

You can back both to net this time around at the widely available price of 1.67 (4/6).
