Greece squadFulham striker Kostas Mitroglou has been included in provisional Greece squad for the 2014 World Cup despite the lack of action on club level.

Despite arriving as a marquee signing in January, the 26-year-old has only made three Premier League appearances for the Cottagers as they were relegated to the Championship.

However, having impressed for Greece in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, Mitroglou has kept his place in the national team squad.

Veteran midfielder Giorgios Karagounis is set to make his final appearance at tournament finals, while Celtic star Georgios Samaras is another star player included in the 30-man squad.

There are no less than 13 home-based players in the provisional squad, with Kostas Katsouranis and Dimitris Salpingidis leading the way.

Greece have been placed in a pretty evenly matched Group C at the tournament finals, alongside Colombia, Japan and Ivory Coast.

And having progressed from the group stage on their last two appearances at major tournaments, Ethniki are available at 3.40 (12/5) to do it all over again.
