Greece did well to hold hosts Poland to a 1-1 draw, but they do need to beat the Czechs in order to keep their qualifying hopes alive.

Czech Republic were hammered by Russia in their opening game, which clearly suggests this is a must-win game for them.

Greece were virtually written off before their opening game against co-hosts Poland, and everything seemed to be going according to the predictions after the hosts took the lead and their opponents had a man harshly sent off in the final minutes of the first period.

Fernando Santos’ side rose from the ashes to level the score through sub Dimitris Salpingidis before they missed a glorious opportunity to take the lead and come on the verge of a major upset.

However, captain Giorgios Karagounis missed the penalty midway through the second half and the Greeks were forced to settle for one point.

The result gives them confidence that they can qualify for the quarter-finals, but seeing they face impressive Russia in the final round, a win over Czech Republic would be more than welcome.

Once again, Ethniki are rated as underdogs, but odds of 3.25 (9/4) offered by bet365 on home win could be worth a shot.

Starting centre-backs Avram Papadopoulos and Sokratis Papastathopoulos miss out through injury and suspension, whereas Giorgios Fotakis is also injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-2-1): Chalkias – Torosidis, Papadopoulos, Katsouranis, Holebas – Maniatis, Makos, Karagounis – Salpingidis, Samaras – Gekas.

Czech Republic clearly face an uphill task following the 4-1 loss to Russia in their opening game, but nothing is lost just yet as two wins would guarantee them a place in the quarter-finals.

The Czechs were completely outclassed by their opponents in their opening game, but this team appear to have enough quality to put up a decent fight in their next two games, and who knows, maybe they can even make it to the next round.

Michal Bilek’s side are 2.50 (3/2) favourites with Stan James to beat Greece, but a massive improvement will have to be shown for that to happen.

The boss is set to make some changes after the dismal performance against Russia, with Michal Kadlec set to start in the heart of defence and David Limbersky expected to take his place on the left.

Tomas Hubschmann is likely to start alongside Petr Jiracek and Tomas Rosicky in centre midfield, in which case Jaroslav Plasil will start on the right side of midfield.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Cech – Gebre Selassie, Sivok, Kadlec, Limbersky – Hubschmann, Jiracek – Plasil, Rosicky, Pilar – Baros.
