AC Milan have added three new players to their Champions League list, whereas the same number of players have been removed from the squad.

New signings Djamel Mesbah and Maxi Lopez have been added, having not played in the competition this season, whereas Stephan El Shaarawy is also in after missing out on the list at the start to the season.

Alexander Merkel, who returned to San Siro from Genoa, had come through the youth ranks at Milan, meaning that he was eligible for the B list.

Philippo Inzaghi has been overlooked once again, whereas Taye Taiwo was removed after making a switch to Queens Park Rangers.

Long-term casualties Antonio Cassano and Gennaro Gattuso have also lost their place as they are not expected to recover for another few months.

Milan face Arsenal in the first knockout round and they are no less than 2.30 (13/10) with Betfair to be the Italian team to progress the furthest in the competition.

Milan squad: Abbiati, Amelia, Roma – Abate, Antonini, Bonera, De Sciglio, Mesbah, Mexes, Nesta, Thiago Silva, Yepes, Zambrotta – Ambrosini, Aquilani, Boateng, Emanuelson, Merkel (B List), Nocerino, Seedorf, Van Bommel – El Shaarawy, Ibrahimovic, Maxi Lopez, Pato, Robinho.
