AC Milan vs Udinese preview

Milan vs UdineseAC Milan are in desperate need of a morale-boosting win given they currently sit in the bottom half of the standings, and they have no choice but to go all in against Udinese.

The Zebrette are doing fairly well so far, but having lost all three away matches this term, they don’t have much to hope for ahead of the trip to San Siro.

Similar to last season, the Rossoneri are struggling to overcome another serious injury crisis and they have so far been unable to break away from the bottom half of the standings.

Milan continue to show glimpses of quality, but the consistency is obviously lacking, with the team winning just one of last five fixtures in all competitions.

Max Allegri’s side could do little to avoid defeat to Juventus before the international break, but with several players returning to the side, they are in a good position to see off travel-sick Udinese.

Given that Milan have won four of five home matches this term, you should know the Rossoneri are 1.73 (8/11) to return to winning ways.

Chances are though that star striker Mario Balotelli will be sorely missed, with Pazzini, Bonera, De Sciglio and El Shaarawy also in the infirmary.

Meanwhile, Philippe Mexes and Nigel de Jong are suspended, but Kaka, Valter Birsa and Matias Silvestre have resumed full training.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-1-2): Abbiati – Abate, Silvestre, Zapata, Constant – Poli, Montolivo, Muntari – Birsa – Matri, Robinho.

Despite getting weaker every summer, Udinese have somehow managed to keep their results respectable over the years, and they are again doing really well this season.

The Zebrette may not be able to join the race for European places this term, but they should be able to achieve another top table finish.

While suffering an early exit from Europa League, Udinese have largely impressed in Serie A home games, defeating Parma, Genoa and Cagliari, and only sharing spoils with Bologna.

However, team’s away form is proving to be quite a problem, given that Francesco Guidolin’s side have yet to bring their first points from the road.

The match against out-of-sorts Milan might be a good opportunity to finally end the barren run, with Friulani 2.25 (5/4) to avoid defeat at San Siro.

First choice keeper Zeljko Brkic has resumed full training, but he is unlikely to feature, whereas defender Maurizio Domizzi remains sidelined.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-1-1): Kelava – Heurtaux, Danilo, Naldo – Basta, Pereyra, Allan, Pinzi, Gabriel Silva – Maicosuel – Di Natale.
