Milan vs UdineseHaving recorded a hard-fought triumph over Hellas Verona in his first game in charge, Clarence Seedorf will be hoping for more of the same when his charges face Udinese in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.

The Zebrette are in all sorts of problems following the disappointing defeat to Lazio, and they clearly face an uphill task at San Siro.

Milan chiefs made a bold move as they opted to replace Max Allegri with former player Clarence Seedorf, but the change at least gave the team a much needed lift midway through the season.

The Rossoneri played a good game against high-flying Hellas Verona, despite needing a late penalty to secure maximum points.

While Serie A campaign remains the priority, Milan will also be looking to do well in Coppa Italia, especially since they are so close to the final stages.

And with out-of-sorts Udinese their next opponents, there appears to be a lot of value in odds of 1.47 (7/15) offered on home win.

Clarence Seedorf is expected to make a host of changes to the team that started against Verona, with Philippe Mexes, Adil Rami, Valter Birsa and Andrea Poli among those expected to be drafted in.

Ignazio Abate and Daniele Bonera remain injury doubts, whereas Giampaolo Pazzini, Stephan El Shaarawy and Marco Amelia are definitely out.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Abbiati – De Sciglio, Mexes, Silvestre, Rami – Montolivo, Poli – Birsa, Honda, Cristante – Robinho.

For the first time in quite a while, Udinese look set to be involved in the Serie A relegation tussle, with the team still struggling to live up to the billing.

Oddly enough, the Zebrette produced several impressive performances against Italy’s top sides, but they have largely struggled for confidence and consistency throughout the season.

Disappointed by some dismal showings, legendary striker Antonio Di Natale has announced that he will retire at the end of the campaign, which is enough to suggest he no longer has the motivation to perform at a high level.

And while Udinese did well to pip Inter to a place in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals, three successive defeats in the league acted as a serious blow to the players’ confidence.

Considering the situation they are in at the moment, the Zebrette don’t look they can get anything from this match.

Gabriel Silva and Allan return from Serie A suspension, whereas Luis Muriel has finally returned into action.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-1-1): Kelava – Heurtaux, Danilo Domizzi – Pereyra, Pinzi, Allan, Badu, Gabriel Silva – Lopez – Muriel.
