Italy Under-21 manager Devis Mangia has announced his 23-man squad for the European Championship finals in Israel.

Italy internationals Mattia Destro and Marco Verratti are the two high-profile names, but Milan starlets Mattia De Sciglio and Stephan El Shaarawy have been added to the senior national team.

Other star players include Lorenzo Insigne, Alessandro Florenzi, Fabio Borini and Ciro Immobile, with most of the talent packed in midfield and attack.

Boss Devis Mangia insists Destro and Verratti will not be lacking in motivation despite being relegated to the Under-21 side.

“They are both really enthusiastic about being with us and have already understood that our main strength is the group,” said Mangia.

“We have enough quality to achieve something big in Israel. We will have to focus from the start because our opponents in the group are all very difficult.”

Italy have been placed into a pretty difficult group, alongside hosts Israel, England and Norway, and they are no less than 7.00 (6/1) with Ladbrokes to lift the trophy in Israel.
