Nobody at Levante can probably remember the last time the team were better placed than their local rivals, so there are no doubts that this will be one of the most exciting matches between the two sides in history.

Despite being tipped to enter the difficult relegation fight, los Granotes enjoyed a remarkable start to the season, having won seven straight La Liga games following the opening draws against Getafe and Racing.

While this great run can be partly attributed to the easy fixture list, you should know that Levante managed to beat Real Madrid, Malaga and Villarreal in this period, giving a clear message – underestimate them at your peril.

The amazing run ended last weekend as they were beaten by Osasuna, but everybody at the club are determined to return to winning ways by beating their local rivals, with bet365 paying 3.20 (11/5) on home win.

The hosts have received a major boost before the Valencia clash as starters Javi Venta, Francisco Javier Barkero and Aruno Kone have all been deemed fit to play.

Juanfran Garcia is back from suspension, leaving Nabil El Zhar and Rafa Jorda as the only absentees at the moment.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Munua – Javi Venta, Ballesteros, Nano, Juanfran – Iborra, Torres – Valdo, Barkero, Juanlu – Kone.

Valencia started the season well, playing some beautiful football in the process, but Unai Emery’s decision to employ rotation policy from the start to the season prevented his side from gaining some momentum.

Los Che played well most of the time, but they just couldn’t kill off their opponents in some games, which ended up costing them precious points.

The good thing is that the team have finally found some consistency, with La Liga wins over Zaragoza and Getafe, as well as an important Champions League triumph over Bayer Leverkusen definitely a step in the right direction.

The most important thing now is to continue the winning run and thus remain close to the top of the standings, even if the odds of 2.40 (7/5) offered by Unibet on away win show that los Che will not have an easy job here.

The visitors will have to make do without influential midfielder Ever Banega, who is set to miss next six weeks with a knee injury, with Alberto Costa expected to step in.

David Albelda and Jordi Alba should return after being rested against Bayer Leverkusen, but Sergio Canales remains a long-term casualty.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Guaita – Miguel, Rami, Ruiz, Alba – Costa, Albelda – Hernandez, Jonas, Mathieu – Soldado.
