Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund aim to keep the rich vein of form and put extra pressure on arch rivals Bayern Munich, whereas Stuttgart also enter the game in buoyant mood, after winning four of their last five games.

The Millionaires may have struggled to cope with the busy schedule in the first part of the season, but as soon as their Champions League campaign was over, the team started raising the standard of their performances.

As a result, Jurgen Klopp’s side went on to win 11 of 12 games after the winter break, so it is hardly surprising that they leapfrogged Bayern Munich in the standings and subsequently created a five-point cushion at the top of Bundesliga.

The 6-1 away win over Koln proved that Borussia are on top of their game at the moment, and the Millionaires are now 1.33 (3/9) with Stan James to claim maximum points against Stuttgart.

Mario Goetze has given the club a huge boost by signing a new long-term contract, but the highly rated midfielder is still a couple of weeks away from returning into action. Felipe Santana and Florian Kringe are also on the sidelines.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Weidenfeller – Piszczek, Subotic, Hummel, Schmelzer – Gundogan, Kehl – Blaszczykowski, Kagawa, Grosskreutz – Lewandowski.

Stuttgart have been terribly inconsistent this term, but their latest run of results could help the Swabians save this season.

After taking no less than 13 points from last 5 league games, Bruno Labbadia’s side climbed to 7th place in the standings and they are now just one point behind Europa League places.

The visitors go into this game high on confidence following the brilliant run of results and with Borussia in similar mood, backing both teams to score at odds of 1.91 (10/11) offered by bet365 looks like the right thing to do.

Brazilian striker Cacau, who scored the winner against Nurnberg, is suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season, but Vedad Ibisevic is expected to return after recovering from injury.

Captain Serdar Tasci could also return from a hip problem, but Khalid Boulahrouz, Matthieu Delpierre, Shinji Okazaki and Johan Audel are out injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Ulreich – Sakai, Tasci, Niedermeier, Boka – Kvist, Kuzmanovic – Harnik, Hajnal, Schieber – Ibisevic.
