England head coach Gareth Southgate has raved about Jude Bellingham.

Southgate has included the Borussia Dortmund midfielder in his 26-man England squad for the European Championship this summer.

The 17-year-old midfielder has played twice for England so far in his career.

The teenager joined Borussia Dortmund from Birmingham City last summer.

Bellingham has been very impressive during his time in Germany, and his performances in the Champions League impressed former Tottenham Hotspur and Everton striker Gary Lineker.

The teenager made 19 starts and 10 substitute appearances in the Bundesliga this season, scoring one goal and providing three assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

The 17-year-old also made eight starts and two substitute appearances in the Champions League for Dortmund this campaign, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process.

Southgate told BBC Sport about Bellingham: “He is phenomenal. Just in training in the last couple of days, to have a 17-year-old who wants to compete with senior players, not only has the techniques but the competitiveness and maturity, he is a hugely exciting player.

“He will be an important player for England, we are not just taking him for the experience, that will be enormous for him and future England managers because I don’t see with him anything in his character that means he won’t succeed.”

England will head into the Euro 2020 finals as 4/1 favourites to win the competition, according to Betfair.
