Zaha and Jenkinson get England calls amidst numerous withdrawals

Crystal Palace starlet Wilfried Zaha and Carl Jenkinson have been called by England boss Roy Hodgson for a friendly against Sweden.

The 20-year-old forward gets his first call-up after impressing in the Championship this season, with a friendly match against Sweden a perfect opportunity for the youngster to prove his worth on international level.

Arsenal full-back Carl Jenkinson and Tottenham midfielder Tom Huddlestone are also in the mix following a number of high-profile withdrawals.

Aaron Lennon, Wayne Rooney, Theo Walcott, Jonjo Shelvey and Kyle Walker were all forced to pull out because of injury.

Roy Hodgson hoped to include Jermain Defoe and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the squad, but the two forwards miss out through injury and lack of match practice respectively.

England travel to Solna on Wednesday to face in-form Sweden, and the Three Lions are 2.75 (7/4) with Coral to return to winning ways.
