This weekend’s second FA Cup semi-final sees eight times winners Tottenham Hotspur play Chelsea, who have lifted the trophy on six occasions.

Five of those victories for the Blues have come in the last fifteen years, whereas Spurs last win was back in 1991.
Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo, who scored a memorable goal in the first minute in the 1997 cup victory against Middlesbrough, will select his team with one eye on Wednesdays Champions League semi-final.

Defenders John Terry and Ashley Cole have been passed fit for the game, whilst Branislav Ivanovic will miss out as he begins a three match suspension. Ryan Bertrand and Oriel Romeu are also side-lined, through injury.

Despite their recent cup pedigree, Chelsea go into the game slight outsiders, and are best priced 2.80 (9/5) with William Hill. You can get 3.40 (12/5) for the draw from Bet Victor, whilst Tottenham are 2.70 (17/10) with Stan James.

Harry Redknapp is facing a defensive dilemma. Younes Kaboul’s knee injury rules him out; Ledley King is unlikely to be match fit following his inclusion in last Mondays defeat to Norwich whilst Michael Dawson remains a long term absentee.

Scott Parker is likely to return after sitting out last week, but fellow midfielder Nico Krancjar is out.
Both Spurs and Chelsea are joint favourites to lift the trophy. Tottenham are best priced 3.50 (5/2) with Bet Victor, whilst Chelsea are the same price with Stan James.

Both of the league fixtures between these sides this season finished all square. Just three weeks ago, the game at Stamford Bridge finished goalless, while Daniel Sturridge cancelled out Emanuel Adebayor’s opener at White Hart Lane back in December.

With this is mind, you might be tempted to back the game to be won in extra time. 888 Sport are offering 13.0 (12/1) for either chosen side to win by that means, whilst Bet Victor offer the same price for either to win on penalties.

Alternatively, if you can’t pick a specific winner, Bet 365 are offering 6.0 (5/1) for the match to be decided on penalties, regardless of who makes it through to next month’s final.
