With the Premier League now out of action for the best part of a fortnight due to the international break, the managers of the clubs at the wrong end of the table can take stock before the end of season run in.

With no manager, and no points gained in their last six games, Reading are favourites to be playing Championship football next season.

The Royals, whose next test is a visit to Arsenal, are off the bottom only by virtue of goals scored, and are widely available at just 1.06 (1/16) to be make an immediate return to the second tier, while Bet 365 offer the best price of 10.0 (9/1) for last year’s Championship winners to avoid the drop.

Bottom of the table Queens Park Rangers are, like Reading, seven points adrift of safety after their 3-2 defeat to fellow strugglers Aston Villa.

Harry Redknapp’s men are now 1.22 (2/9) with Coral to be relegated, and 5.0 (4/1) with Ladbrokes to stay in the division.

Arouna Kone’s last minute winner handed Wigan Athletic three vital points in their battle for survival, though the Latics remain in the relegation zone, three points from safety.

However, given their record in recent years, you might want to take advantage of the price of 2.0 (1/1) for Roberto Martinez to again guide his side to safety, whilst a variety of firm have the same price on offer for them to go down.

Aston Villa are now 3.0 (2/1) to be relegated after securing back to back league wins for the first time this season, while Southampton have gone out to 8.0 (7/1) with Bet 365 after their impressive win over Liverpool took them four points clear of the bottom three.

Like the Saints, Sunderland are on 31 points, but with no win in six may be worth considering at 5.0 (4/1) in the relegation market with a variety of firms.

West Ham United and Newcastle United are each on 33 points after their respective defeats, and are both available at 26.0 (25/1) to go down, along with Norwich City, who despite being seven points clear of the relegation zone have won just once in thirteen games.

However, no team in the division has a worse record in the last eight games than eleventh place Stoke City, who are worth considering at 29.0 (28/1) with Bet 365.
