Tottenham centre-back Ledley King is set to face a new spell on the sidelines after the suspected hamstring tear.

The 31-year-old has been out of action for a couple of weeks as he was trying to recover from chronic knee problems, but he could now be out for longer than expected.

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed that King could be out for several weeks.

“Ledley did his hamstring on Friday,” Redknapp said. “He had a little jog and tore his hamstring, we think. He has gone for a scan.

“We don’t have the results yet but he only went for a little easy jog and his hamstring went.”

With William Gallas and Tom Huddlestone also sidelined, the experienced boss doesn’t have too many options before the very important game against Everton.

“I have not got many options,” Redknapp said. “I only have Dawson, Bassong and Kaboul. No-one else.”

Tottenham are expected to beat Everton and close the gap behind leaders Manchester City to just two points, with odds of 1.57 (4/7) offered on home win at bet365, and you should bear in mind that this premium gambling website features a high-quality poker net, in addition to their sports betting website.
