Javier Hernandez has enjoyed a remarkable first season at Old Trafford following his move from Chivas Guadalajara, but he is determined to do even better next term.

Having scored 20 goals last season, thus helping Manchester United win the Premiership title and reach the Champions League final, it is little wonder Chicharito is delighted with his debut season.

“I am very happy that, as a squad, we won the English championship. This is a wonderful thing, especially after a title race so competitive. Chelsea, Arsenal and even Manchester City battled to the end, but we never doubted our strength,“ Chicharito told Daily Mail.

“Our team has such soul and such spirit. Success is written into the DNA of this club. I’m at the best club in the world.

“Everything is done to succeed and win titles. There is only the Champions League defeat that sticks in the throat.

“Personally, I am extremely happy with my season, but I do not rest on my laurels. I want to do even better next season. I want to help this club to make history.”

With a starting place already in the bag, the Mexican striker is one of the most likely candidates to finish the season at the top of Premiership goalscoring chart, so you should know that Hernandez is 9.00 (8/1) with Paddy Power to lift the top scorer trophy.
