West Ham United manager David Moyes has praised attacker Jarrod Bowen on the club’s official website for his heroics against Norwich City at home this week.

The Hammers got the better of Norwich 2-0 at London Stadium in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

Jarrod Bowen scored both the goals for the Hammers.

Bowen made it 1-0 to West Ham in the 42nd minute and wrapped up the scoring with his second seven minutes from full time.

The 25-year-old, who can play as a winger, midfielder or forward, has scored five goals and provided seven assists in 20 Premier League starts for West Ham so far this season.

Moyes told West Ham’s official website: “I didn’t think he played so well in the first half tonight. The goalkeeper makes a save from him in the first minute when maybe he could have scored, and he could have finished the game a bit earlier for us.

“He hit the bar when we were 1-0 up with a chip, but look, he’s doing great and the goals will give him great confidence.

“He’s probably been a little bit behind with his goals this season – his assists have been good, but if we can get him in the goals in the second half of the season that will be really important for us.”

The win for West Ham against Norwich means that the London club are now fourth in the Premier League table with 37 points from 21 matches, two points ahead of London rivals Arsenal, who are fifth and have played 20 games.

The Hammers are now rated at 5/1 on Betfair to finish in the Premier League top four this season.
