Premier League leaders Chelsea are thought to be willing to invest as much as £70 million to land Radja Nainggolan and Antonio Rudiger during summer.

British tabloid The Sun reports that Blues boss Antonio Conte has rekindled interest for the 29-year-old Nainggolan after reports surfaced that AS Roma are reportedly prepared to listen to offers for the Belgian enforcer.

AS Roma midfielder Nainggolan has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge ever since Conte’s arrival, but AC Milan and their city rivals Inter Milan are also thought to be interested in Nainggolan. The Milan giants have been buoyed by their new owners and will both represent a formidable financial power in the forthcoming transfer market.

One of the reasons Giallorossi are prepared to let their influential midfielder leave are his personal demands and a requested increase to his current deal. Newly-appointed sporting director Monchi is unwilling to comply and is prepared to sanction a move away from Stadio Olimpico.

In the meantime, Chelsea will also be looking to make it a double swoop as Antonio Conte reportedly eyes a move for the 24-year-old Germain international Antonio Rudiger who has emerged as one of the best defenders in Serie A ever since his arrival from Stuttgart in 2015.

Germany international centre back’s versatility and ability to successfully fit in a three-man defense or perform at full-back position in a four-man line make him a hot commodity and just the kind of a player Conte needs with his captain John Terry departing at the end of the season.

Conte is believed to be preparing the total of £70 million for the AS Roma duo.

In the meantime, Chelsea continue their march towards the Premier League title as they prepare to take advantage of Tottenham’s 1-0 defeat at West Ham. The Blues are welcoming Middlesbrough on Monday night and can be found at 1.73 (8/11) betting odds to win to Nil.
