Giovinco JuventusJuventus forward Sebastian Giovinco has signed a pre-contract agreement with Toronto FC, the MLS side announced on their official website.

The Italy international will join the Canadian club at the end of the European season, when his contract with the Bianconeri comes to an end.

Toronto FC pulled off quite a coup by securing the services of the Italian forward, who was on the radar of Europe’s top clubs.

And having also signed Jozy Altidore from Sunderland, the MLS side have every reason to feel optimistic ahead of the start of the new season.

“We are beyond excited to add a player of Sebastian Giovinco’s caliber,” Toronto FC general manager Tim Bezbatchenko told reporters.

“(Sebastian) chose TFC and MLS above many other international clubs.”

Despite agreeing a move to the United States, Giovinco will be at disposal for Juventus boss Max Allegri for the remainder of the season.

Following the 4-0 triumph over Hellas Verona, the Bianconeri host Chievo next time out and are 1.57 (4/7) for a half-time/full-time win.
