Saturday’s early evening kick-off in the Premier League sees Newcastle United face Everton.

The hosts, who looked in serious trouble at the beginning of the month have strung together an unbeaten run of three games – form that has seen them climb out of the relegation zone.

They could end Boxing Day in as high as fourteenth place should they win and other results fall in their favour while defeat could see them slip back in to the bottom three.

Papiss Cisse is set to miss the game with the groin problem that he picked up against Aston Villa last week while Jamaal Lascelles is not quite ready to return despite being back in training following a hamstring injury.

Cisse is 9.0 (8/1) to open the scoring with Paddy Power with Ayoze Perez a 10.0 (9/1) chance with Betfair.

The home win is priced at 3.4 (12/5) with 888 Sport with the visitors widely available at 2.3 (13/10). The draw can be backed at 3.6 (13/5) with Stan James.

Roberto Martinez’s side saw their six game unbeaten league run ended by league leaders Leicester City last time out though they remain just six points off the top four.

They have drawn their last three on the road and have failed to score in just two of their league games away from home.

Steven Naismith is available after overcoming an ankle problem though James McCarthy, Bryan Oviedo, Phil Jagielka and Steven Pienaar are all sidelined, but could return at some point over the festive period.

Romelu Lukaku, who has netted in each of his last seven league games, is favourite to get the first goal here at 5.0 (4/1) with a number of bookmakers, with Ross Barkley a 9.5 (17/2) chance with Paddy Power.

Each of the last nine clashes between the sides have featured three or more goals, including last season’s corresponding fixture which ended in a 3-2 to the hosts twelve months ago while the reverse game at Goodison Park ended in a 3-0 win to the Toffees.

You can back there being over 2.5 goals this time around at a price of 1.78 (31/40) with Bet Victor.
