Everton to make a move on Juan Mata

MataThe Telegraph is reporting that Premier League strugglers Everton are set to launch an assault on Manchester United midfielder Juan Manuel Mata.

After being forced out of Stamford Bridge, the Spaniard will again by shown the door by Jose Mourinho and everything suggests he will be leaving Old Trafford this summer.

According to the Telegraph, Everton are ready to offer Mata an escape route from Manchester United and they are readying a £20 million bid for his services.

The Toffees could face stiff competition from other interested sides though as the Spaniard still has a long list of admirers.

Juan Manuel Mata has spent last two and a half years at Old Trafford, bagging 21 goals in 86 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils.

After making just three outings in the Euro 2016 qualifiers, the 28-year-old was overlooked for the tournament finals squad, and it remains to be seen whether he will be returning to international fold any time soon.
