The opening weekend of the Premier League concludes at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon where Arsenal take on champions Manchester City.

The Gunners failed to finish in the top four for a second successive season last term but will be keen for a fresh start under new manager Unai Emery, who could hand debuts to three new signings.

Bernd Leno, Lucas Torreira and Sokratis Papastathopoulos are all in line for their first appearances while Sead Kolasinac and Laurent Koscielny are both out long-term with respective knee and Achilles injuries while Nacho Monreal is a doubt with a knee problem.

Aaron Ramsey is back in training following a calf injury, though the game may come to soon for the Wales international who remains with the North London club following speculation over his future during the recently closed transfer window.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is priced at 6.25 (21/4) to get the first goal of the game with Unibet, with Alexadre Lacazette an 8.0 (7/1) chance with the same firm.

The home win is as highly priced as the 4.05 (58/19) on offer from Unibet with the draw available at the same price with the same company. The visitors are favourites at 1.95 (19/20) with several bookmakers.

Having stormed to the title last term Pep Guardiola will be hoping for similar success this time around and his big summer signing is set to make his league bow after impressing in last weekend’s Community Shield victory over Chelsea.

Riyad Mahrez finally completed his big money move from Leicester City and is priced at 9.0 (8/1) to open the scoring with Unibet, with Sergio Aguero favourite at 4.33 (10/3) following his brace at Wembley.

In other team news for the away side Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne have both been passed fit following their World Cup exploits while Benjamin Mendy, who was part of France’s victorious squad in Russia could make his first league appearance since last September.

City beat Arsenal three times last season, with their league triumphs coming either side of their EFL Cup final victory.

The Citizens scored three times on each of those occasions and can be backed at 3.1 (21/10) with Sky Bet to get at least that many this time around.
