Napoli vs Bayern Munich preview

The two teams have done really well at the start of group of death and there are no doubts that the clash between Napoli and Bayern Munich will bring us plenty of excitement.

After showing a lot of promise on domestic stage last season, Napoli wasted no time in proving the team have a role to play in Europe’s top competition as well.

Following the 1:1 draw against Manchester City, the Azzurri beat Villarreal at home and are now in a very good position before the clash with Bayern.

Napoli do need to win this game if they are to keep their advantage over third-placed Manchester City and the Partenopei are no less than 4.00 (3/1) with Bet365 to record another win.

The hosts enter this match low on spirits, having recorded a disappointing home defeat to Parma at the weekend, but we are, nevertheless, unlikely to see big changes to the starting line-up.

Miguel Britos, Goran Pandev and Marco Donadel remain sidelined, but the most important thing is that trio Hamsik, Lavezzi, Cavani is fully fit.

Probable starting line-up (3-4-2-1): De Sanctis – Campagnaro, Cannabaro, Aronica – Maggio, Inler, Gargano, Dossena – Hamsik, Lavezzi – Cavani.

This is already looking like a very successful season for Bayern Munich, as the Bavarians are thoroughly impressive on all fronts.

Their ten-match winning run, which included victories over Villarreal and Manchester City, recently came to an end as Jupp Heynckes’ side couldn’t beat Hoffenheim away, but the team quickly returned to winning ways.

The 4:0 win over Hertha at the weekend was their 12th successive game in which keeper Manuel Neuer haven’t conceded a single goal, so odds of 2.88 (17/9) offered by 888Sport on Bayern to keep 13th successive clean sheet.

Having won both group games so far, Bayern would make a giant step towards the first place in the group with a win at San Paolo and the Bavarians are 2.05 (21/20) with 888Sport to claim maximum points in Naples.

Arjen Robben remains the only notable absentee, even if Breno is still out of contention, but Rafinha and Luis Gustavo should return to the starting line-up.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Neuer – Rafinha, Boateng, Badstuber, Lahm – Gustavo, Schweinsteiger – Muller, Kroos, Ribery – Gomez.

Bayern are on a roll now. I can bet you Napoli is going down because the german spirit fears no foe. Go Bayern, whoop Napoli’s ass. 3-0.
