Barcelona vs AC Milan preview

Dubbed the most interesting tie of the Champions League quarter-finals AC Milan vs Barcelona clash certainly didn’t disappoint even we failed to see any goals in the first leg.

The second half will be played at Barca’s Camp Nou and everything suggests we will see even more enthralling encounter than the one played at San Siro.

As expected, Barcelona largely dominated the proceedings in the first match between the two sides, but they just couldn’t find a way past Christian Abbiati.

The Catalans suffered a real scare at the start of the game when Milan missed two great chances to score, so we can say that goalless draw was a fair result.

Nevertheless, Barcelona now need to win the return leg in order to go through and they are 1.30 (3/10) with Paddy Power to do so.

Pep Guardiola has received a major boost as Cesc Fabregas recovered from a back injury that saw him miss last two games, but Eric Abidal, Ibrahim Afellay, David Villa and Andreu Fontas remain unavailable.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Valdes – Alves, Pique, Mascherano, Puyol – Xavi, Busquets, Iniesta – Sanchez, Messi, Fabregas.

AC Milan are already well aware of Barcelona’s qualities, having already played three games against the Catalans this season, but after losing just one of those, the Rossoneri can feel optimistic before the trip to Camp Nou.

Max Allegri’s side failed to keep the four-point advantage at the top of the Serie A standings as they couldn’t beat Catania away, although that cannot be considered such a poor result when we know that Angelo Massimino is one of the most difficult grounds to play at in Italy.

Having shown a lot of potential in all three games against Barcelona, the Rossoneri clearly have something to hope for before the match at Camp Nou, and you should know Betfair pays 4.70 (37/10) on Milan to qualify.

Max Allegri will have Alexandre Pato back to the side after the Brazilian recovered from injury, but Mark van Bommel misses out through a back problem.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-1-2): Abbiati – Abate, Bonera, Mexes, Antonini – Nocerino, Ambrosini, Seedorf – Boateng – Ibrahimovic, Robinho.
