Getafe vs BetisEven if it is surprising to see the two sides in the top half of the standings, the reality is that the team that win this match will become serious challengers for the final Champions League berth.

Up until recently, Real Betis were one of the main candidates for a top 4 finish, which speaks volumes about the progress this club have made over the last few years.

In the first season upon their return to the elite division, los Verdiblancos produced some memorable displays to show everyone they are not there only to make the numbers up, and the team have been even more impressive this term.

Betis were not really able to turn their Estadio Benito Villamarin into a genuine fortress, but their excellent away record helped the team remain in the race for European places.

Pepe Mel’s side suffered a real blow to their top 4 hopes as they were beaten by Valencia last weekend, but this is a perfect opportunity for them to return to the right track.

With that in mind, you should know Real Betis are 1.91 (10/11) at Ladbrokes to win their third successive home fixture in La Liga.

Defender Antonio Amaya misses out through suspension, while midfielder Eder Vilarchao remains on the sidelines.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Adrian – Angel, Mario, Paulao, Nacho – Benat, Canas – Campbell, Molina, Castro – Pabon.

Getafe didn’t need a lot of time to establish themselves as a genuine mid table side, but they never quite managed to make that final step and mount a challenge for European places.

The team looked to be heading towards yet another mid table finish, that is until they embarked on an amazing run of results that saw them pick up 13 points from last 5 games.

This has seen Getafe revive their bid for European places and they now have a chance to even enter the race for the final Champions League berth.

That is obviously easier said than done, but Luis Garcia’s side are 4.50 (7/2) at Betfair to see off Betis at Benito Villamarin.

First choice keeper Miguel Angel Moya misses out through injury, with Jordi Codina set to deputize for the third time this season.

Miguel Torres, Juan Valera, Juan Rodriguez and Mane are all out injured, with centre-back Rafa set to play at right-back in the absence of a better option.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Codina – Rafa, Fernandez, Lopo, Escudero – Xavi Torres, Borja – Leon, Barrada, Castro – Colunga.
