Lionel Messi has reaffirmed his desire to lift trophies with Barcelona despite the turmoil currently engulfing the Catalan giants.
The Argentine’s future at the club has looked uncertain in recent seasons and almost reached breaking point in the summer having submitted a transfer request.
A move away from the Nou Camp never materialised, with Messi remaining in Catalonia.
Away from the troubles at the club this season though, the forward says that he is committed to success with Barcelona.
Speaking to La Sexta, Messi said: “I’m feeling good at the moment. I’m raring to really fight for everything that lies ahead.
“I’m excited. I know that the club is having a tough time of things, both on and off the field, and everything related to Barcelona is a bit tricky right now, but I’m feeling hungry.”
Ronald Koeman’s men are enduring a difficult season in 2020/21. Los Rojiblancos have only won six out of their opening 13 league games, leaving them sitting fifth in table and eight points behind current leaders Atletico Madrid.
They will be aiming to move up the table as they take on Real Valladolid away from home on Tuesday evening. Barcelona can be backed at a price of 2/5 with Paddy Power to win the game.
