Sergio Ramos has expressed his delight at signing for Paris Saint-Germain.

French club PSG have announced on their official website that they have secured the services of Ramos on a two-year contract.

The 35-year-old central defender was a free agent following his departure from Spanish and European giants Real Madrid at the end of last season.

Ramos won the La Liga title five times and the Champions League on four occasions with Madrid.

The Spanish defender told PSG’s official website: “I am very happy to join Paris Saint-Germain. This is a big change in my life, a new challenge and it’s a day I will never forget.

“I am very proud to be a part of this ambitious project, to be a part of this squad with so many great players. Paris Saint-Germain is a club that has already proven itself at the highest level.

“I want to continue to grow and improve at Paris and help the team to win as many trophies as possible.”

PSG will kick off their new Ligue 1 campaign with an away game against Troyes.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side can be backed at 1/4 on Betfair to win it.
