Torino vs Juventus preview

Juve vs TorinoIf Napoli fail to beat Pescara on Saturday evening, Juventus could clinch the Serie A title in Derby della Mole, which would be a perfect way to celebrate a successful league campaign.

Their bitter rivals Torino will give everything to spoil the party for the Bianconeri and at the same time move further away from the relegation positions.

I Granata have done really well to avoid the relegation tussle alltogether and it looked as though the 1-0 victory over Lazio in mid March virtually secured their Serie A status.

However, the team have since struggled for form, picking up just one point from next four matches, although that has something to do with the difficult fixture list as well.

During the past few weeks, Giampiero Ventura’s men played Napoli and Roma at home as well as Bologna and Fiorentina away, while next up are Juventus and Milan.

This means that not even a seven-point advantage over the bottom three can guarantee them survival, so that will be an extra incentive to do well in Derby della Mole.

The odds are the hosts will not be lacking in motivation, but odds of 6.25 (21/4) offered at BetVictor on home win are enough to suggest I Granata have a mountain to climb in this match.

Matteo Darmian and Giuseppe Vives both miss out through suspension, whereas Matteo Brighi is not yet ready to return from injury.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-4): Gillet – D’Ambrosio, Ogbonna, Gilk, Masiello – Basha, Gazzi – Cerci, Bianchi, Barreto, Santana.

From the very start to the league campaign Juventus have climbed to the top of the standings and they have remained there without too many problems.

The Bianconeri kept increasing their advantage over their title rivals and with just five games to go they boast an 11-point cushion at the Serie A summit.

This means they can clinch the league title at Stadio Olimpico provided Napoli do not beat Pescara, which would be a great way to further upset their bitter rivals.

Juventus recovered well from the 4-0 aggregate defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League as they went to on beat Lazio and Milan in the league, and they are 1.67 (2/3) with Coral to win their seventh successive league fixture.

Antonio Conte looks set to continue with Mirko Vucinic as a lone striker, with the Montenegrin forward 2.50 (3/2) at bet365 to score at Stadio Olimpico.

The visitors have no fresh injury worries, but Sebastian Giovinco, Simone Pepe and Nicklas Bendtner remain in the infirmary.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-1-1): Buffon – Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini – Lichtsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba, Asamoah – Marchisio – Vucinic.
