The agent of Manchester City defender Micah Richards has moved to confirm reports that Inter are showing interest in the England international.
Following several difficult months at Eastlands, the full-back has been linked with a switch to Serie A, with the Nerazzurri looking to lure the player to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
One of the player’s official representatives has now added fuel to speculations linking Richards with a summer move to Inter.
“It is true that Inter are tracking Richards and have had talks with agent Alexander Livac, who I collaborate with, even if there’s a long way to go,” agent Dario Canovi told Mediaset Premium.
“He is an important player who was in the Olympics last year. City rate him highly, but if a big club like Inter comes along, then he will reflect on it.
“I wouldn’t be able to say whether a loan deal is to be excluded. In any case, Inter and Manchester City have an excellent rapport.
“The Napoli talent scouts last year were convinced Richards was the right man for Walter Mazzarri’s football.”
In the light of the latest events, it is really surprising Inter are still no less than 15.00 (14/1) with Ladbrokes to sign Richards in the summer, with the player just 1.80 (4/5) to remain at Etihad.
