Inter vs Fiorentina preview

Inter vs FiorentinaHaving continued the impressive start to the league campaign with a 7-0 trashing of Sassuolo, Inter Milan will be hoping for another victory when they host high-flying Fiorentina.

Meanwhile, Viola also sit on 10 points after defeating Atalanta on the road and they will be looking for more of the same at Giuseppe Meazza.

Walter Mazzarri made a risky move when he decided to leave star-studded Napoli side and take over the reigns at Inter Milan, who were reeling from another disappointing campaign.

With the squad undergoing major changes in the summer and some key players yet to return into action, a slow start was predicted for the Nerazzurri, but the experienced tactician has managed to surprise even the most optimistic of fans.

Inter kicked off the season with a 4-0 Coppa Italia win over Cittadella, before comfortable triumphs over Genoa and Catania hinted the team had already hit the ground running.

And after an impressive display in the 1-1 draw with Juventus was followed by 7-0 hammering of newcomers Sassuolo, the Nerazzurri are considered 2.05 (21/20) favourites with BetVictor in the derby clash with Fiorentina.

Having scored three goals in first four league matches, in-form Rodrigo Palacio is no less than 3.00 (2/1) at Betfred to extend his scoring run.

Despite scoring a brace against Sassuolo, Diego Milito is set to remain in the bench as Walter Mazzarri plans to name an unchanged starting line-up.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-1-1): Handanovic – Campagnaro, Ranocchia, Jesus – Jonathan, Taider, Cambiasso, Guarin, Nagatomo – Alvarez – Palacio.

Unlike their next opponents, Fiorentina were always going to impress this term after narrowly missing out on a top 3 finish last season.

Viola largely impressed at the start of the league campaign, winning three of four matches and only sharing spoils at home with Cagliari.

Meanwhile, they have kicked off their Europa League campaign with a 3-0 triumph over Pacos Ferreira, but were unlucky to have star signing Mario Gomez pick up a serious injury.

Nevetheless, with Giuseppe Rossi scoring goals for fun since returning into action, Fiorentina look a good bet to win their third straight away fixture, with away win paying 4.20 (16/5) at William Hill.

The former Italy international has already bagged four league goals this term and he is 3.60 (13/5) at Paddy Power to score at Meazza as well.

Josip Ilicic remains doubtful with an ankle problem, while David Pizarro serves the final game of his two-match ban. Mario Gomez, Juan Cuadrado and Ahmed Hegazy are out injured.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-1-1): Neto – Tomovic, Rodriguez, Savic – Joaquin, Aquilani, Ambrosini, Valero, Pasqual – Fernandez – Rossi.
