Filip DjordjevicNantes striker Filip Djordjevic has moved to confirm reports that he is set to join Italian giants Lazio at the end of the current campaign.

The Serbia international will be out of contract in the summer and he was believed to be in talks with the Biancocelesti.

And it appears Lazio have already wrapped up the deal to sign Djordjevic on a free transfer as the 26-year-old has confirmed he is set to join the Italian side.

“Hello, I am Filip Djordjevic. I am a new Lazio player for next season,” the Serbian forward told Lazio Style Radio.

“I am very excited to be playing in such a prestigious club. I hope to experience huge emotions with you.”

Djordjevic has been signed as a long-term replacement for veteran forward Miroslav Klose, who has yet to decide whether he will be staying at Stadio Olimpico for another season.

The Serbia international helped Nantes return to the elite division by scoring 20 goals in Ligue 2 last term, before netting 10 times in 26 Ligue 1 games this season.

Lazio revived their bid for European positions with three wins in last four games and they are now 2.50 (3/2) with BetVictor to see off AC Milan next weekend.
