Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Hwang Hee-chan has expressed his delight at extending his stay at the Premier League.

Hwang joined Wolves on loan from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2021.

The 26-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as a striker, was scheduled to stay on loan at Wolves in the summer of 2022.

The Premier League club have announced on their official website that they have decided to make Hwang’s loan deal permanent which will see him stay at the Molineux Stadium until 2026.

Hwang told Wolves’ official website: “I’m very happy to be here at Wolves until 2026. I feel very happy to play for a team with a really good manager and great teammates.

“They have helped me with many things since I came here, and because of this, I have been able to focus just on me and my football and have been able to do my things well.

“I want to say thank you to them because they have helped me to try my best.”

Wolves are eighth in the Premier League table at the moment with 34 points from 21 matches, four points behind fourth-placed Manchester United, who have played 22 games.

Bruno Lage’s side can be backed at 40/1 on Betfair to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
