Stade d’Angondje in Libreville, Gabon will see Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain and Coupe de France winners Bordeaux battle it out for the Trophee des Champions.

Having impressed to win the first league title after 19 years, the Saints could do little to prevent Carlo Ancelotti from leaving for Real Madrid, but they seem to have signed a decent replacement in Laurent Blanc.

The squad have since undergone minor changes, with Benoit Tremoulinas and Anthony Modeste leaving, and Jeremue Brechet and Lucas Orban arriving.

Even so, Francois Gillot’s men have been pretty unconvincing during pre-season, defeating Mechelen and Barnsley, losing to Zulte Waregem and Middlesbrough and sharing spoils with Evian.
