One of the most interesting matches in midweek will see in-form Germany tackle France at Weserstadion in Bremen, as both sides continue their preparations for the Euro 2012.

Germany largely impressed in the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign, having won all ten games in what was a pretty difficult group, and they are now seen as one of the main candidates for the trophy in Poland and Ukraine.

Following the 3-3 friendly draw with Ukraine, Joachim Low’s side recorded a stunning 3-0 victory over Netherlands last time out, and they have got to be considered favourites in this match as well.

Even with several players missing out through injury, die Mannschaft look a good bet at 1.73 (8/11) offered by 888sport. On the other hand, the Germans are 4.50 (7/2) with Paddy Power to lift the European Championships title.

Bastian Schweinsteiger,Mario Goetze, Lukas Podolski, Per Mertesacker and Philipp Lahm miss out through injury, meaning that Miroslav Klose will wear the captain’s armband.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Neuer – Boateng, Hummels, Badstuber, Aogo – Kroos, Khedira – Reus, Muller, Ozil – Klose.

Having entered the Euro 2012 qualifiers on the back of some dismal results under Raymond Domenech, France were always going to have problems qualifying for the major tournament.

However, new boss Laurent Blanc did well to help the players restore the lost confidence and les Bleus qualified for Euro 2012 by winning the first place in their group.

The team have since beaten United States and shared spoils with Belgium, but the game against mighty Germany will be a real test for Laurent Blanc’s side.

Unable to count on injured Karim Benzema and Loic Remy, Laurent Blanc opted for Louis Saha and Olivier Giroud up front, whereas Marseille midfielder Morgan Amalfitano earns his first call up.

France may be the underdogs in this clash, but les Bleus boast plenty of attacking potential and odds of 2.00 (1/1) offered by Ladbrokes on both teams to score could be worth a shot.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Lloris – Reveillere, Mexes, Rami, Abidal – Cabaye, M’Vila – Menez, Martin, Ribery – Saha.
