Ukraine produced quite a coup by coming from a goal behind to beat Sweden in their opening game, while France could only muster a 1-1 draw against England.

Not too many people believed Oleg Blokhin’s side could make it to the quarter-finals despite playing at home, and the predictions seemed to be spot on when Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the opener for Sweden.

Nonetheless, Ukraine refused to give up and managed to overturn the deficit thanks to a two-goal hero Andriy Shevchenko, thus recording a very important victory at the start of Euro 2012.

While Sweden also missed some good chances to score, the Yellow-Blues looked very good throughout the game and proved they have what it takes to compete with the best national teams in the world.

Ukraine may be in a good position to qualify, but with games against France and England next on agenda, every point would be more than welcome.

The hosts would probably be more than happy if they manage to avoid defeat to France, and bear in mind draw pays 3.33 (7/3) at Betfair.

Oleg Blokhin is unlikely to make any changes to the side that recorded a 2-1 victory over Sweden, with veteran forward Andriy Shevchenko once again deployed as a lone striker.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Pyatov – Gusev, Mykhalyk, Khacheridi, Selin – Tymoshchuk, Nazarenko – Yarmolenko, Voronin, Konoplyanka – Shevchenko.

France arrived to European Championship in confident mood following some very impressive showings in warm-up games, and they did their best to try and beat England in their opening game.

However, les Bleus were unable to break their defence-minded opponents and in the end had to settle for one point.

France showed a lot more attacking intent than their rivals and probably deserved to win the game, but they just couldn’t turn their dominance into goals.

Les Bleus are now in a position that they need to beat Ukraine in order to boost their qualifying hopes, and 188BET has them at 2.12 (28/25) to do so.

Holding midfielder Yann M’Vila has declared himself fit after recovering from an ankle problem, but there is every chance that Alou Diarra will get the nod once again following a scintillating display against England.

Having said that, Laurenc Blanc looks set to field the same line-up that started the England game.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Lloris – Debuchy, Rami, Mexes, Evra – Cabaye, Diarra, Malouda – Nasri, Benzema, Ribery.
