The first leg of the Copa Libertadores final will see Argentine giants Boca Juniors play host to Brazilian side Corinthians at La Bombonera.

Los Xeneize are on the road to make this season one of the most successful in their recent history, but for that to happen they will need to win the “South American Champions League”.

One of the most decorated clubs in world football have struggled to return to old glory days over the last few years, but thing finally fell into place at the start of this season.

New players Orion, Schiavi, Blandi, Cvitanich and Silva were quickly integrated into the squad, as a result of which Boca won the Apertura title 12 points clear of Racing Club.

The team were leading the Clausura race as well, that is until they decided to fully focus on their Copa Libertadores campaign.

Such an approach proved spot on as the team eliminated Union Espanola, Fluminense and Universidad de Chile to reach the competition final and they are now 1.95 (19/20) favourites with 888sport to win the first leg at La Bombonera.

The hosts will be heavily relying on Juan Roman Riquelme, who has been in scintillating form this season, and the veteran midfielder is 4.50 (7/2) with Sportingbet to score at any time. Apart from Juan Insaurralde, all players are fit to feature.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-1-2): Orion – Roncaglia, Schiavi, Caruzzo, Rodriguez – Ledesma, Somoza, Erviti – Riquelme – Silva, Mouche.

One of the most famous Brazilian sides are preparing for their first ever Copa Libertadores final, after being eliminated in the semis in 1994 and 2000.

While largely struggling on domestic stage, the Timao surprised everyone by reaching the final of the continental competition, although we cannot really say they deserved to go this far.

Nurturing a defence-minded approach completely uncharacteristic of Brazilian football, Corinthians eased off to the first place in their Copa Libertadores group, before eliminating the likes of Emelec, Vasco da Gama and Santos.

What is even more impressive is that the team conceded just 3 goals in no less than 12 games this term, but that record will be put to a serious test at La Bombonera.

After keeping nine clean sheets already in Copa Libertadores, the Timao are 3.60 (13/5) with Paddy Power not to concede in the first leg.

First choice striker Emerson Sheik returns to the side after serving a suspension, with Willian set to drop to the bench.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Cassio – Alessandro, Chicao, Leandro Castan, Fabio Santos – Ralf, Paulinho, Danilo, Alex – Jorge Henrique, Emerson.
