Brazil coach Mano Menezes has released a 22-man squad for the upcoming Copa America tournament in Argentina.

The boss announced the squad at a press conference following the friendly win over Romania, which saw Brazil legend Ronaldo say goodbye to the national team.

Fluminense striker Fred scored the only goal of the game, which helped him win the race with Nilmar and Leandro Damiao for the fourth place in attack.

Santos highly rated midfielder Paulo Henrique Ganso and Alexandre Pato of Milan have made the squad despite missing the last two warm-up games through injury.

Real Madrid star Kaka and Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo have been overlooked, just like Manchester United’s Fabio and Anderson.

Brazil start their Copa America campaign with a game against Venezuela on 3 July, with Selecao priced at 1.18 (2/11) with Stan James to win their opening game.

Even though the Copa America tournament is hosted by their fierce rivals Argentina, Brazil look like the favourites for the coveted title and they are no less than 3.00 (2/1) with Betfair to lift the trophy on Argentine soil.

Brazil squad:

Goalkeepers: Victor (Gremio), Julio Cesar (Inter)

Defenders: Daniel Alves (Barcelona), Maicon (Inter), Andre Santos (Fenerbahce), Adriano (Barcelona), Lucio (Inter), Thiago Silva (Milan), David Luiz (Chelsea), Luisao (Benfica).
