Paraguay need to win this game in order to qualify for the quarter-finals, whereas Venezuela are already through after beating Ecuador in second group game.

Coming to the tournament on the back of the impressive 2010 World Cup campaign, Paraguay were tipped as one of the favourites for the trophy, but La Albirroja have yet to realize their full potential.

Gerardo Martino’s side couldn’t beat Ecuador in their opening game, although they did make amends for the slip-up by holding Brazil to 2:2 draw.

La Albirroja were very close to registering a valuable win over Mano Menezes’ side, but Fred’s late strike denied them what would have been an undeserved win.

Paraguay now have no choice but to try and beat Venezuela if they want to reach the next stage, and home win pays 1.67 (2/3) at Stan James.

Coach Gerardo Martino has received a touchline ban for arguing with referee Wilmar Roldan, but that is unlikely to be too big a problem for his players.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Villar – Veron, Da Silva, Alcaraz, Torres – Estigarribia, Riveros, Vera, Ortigoza – Santa Cruz, Barrios.

Having been placed in a group with the likes of Brazil, Paraguay and Ecuador, Venezuela were not given big chances to make it to the next stage.

However, after two rounds of games, la Vinotinto are the only side from group B that have secured the passage into the quarter-finals.

After holding Brazil to a goalless draw, Venezuela beat Ecuador to qualify for the quarter-finals on foreign soil for the first time in history, and the players could be forgiven for being high on confidence at the moment.

Seeing that Cesar Farias’ men have yet to concede a goal at the 2011 Copa America, you should know Venezuela are 4.60 (18/5) with Victor Chandler to keep the third clean sheet in a row.

Keeper Daniel Hernandez should return to the starting line-up, whereas Luis Manuel Seijas and Daniel Arismendi could also start.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Hernandez – Rosales, Vizcarrondo, Perozo, Cichero – Gonzalez, Seijas, Rincon, Arango – Rondon, Arsimendi.
