Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio is worried that recent slip ups could end up costing the Old Lady dearly come end of the season.

The Bianconeri could only muster a 2:2 draw at home against Genoa, despite taking the lead twice, and that was Juventus’ second home game this season in which they failed to hold on to the lead.

“Now the dropped points are starting to weigh on us,” the Italy international told reporters.

“We cannot take the lead and then close down hoping the game will come to an end the way we did tonight.

“We had scoring opportunities, such as Giorgio Chiellini’s two headers and Mirko Vucinic in good positions. When these situations occur, we must make the most of them.

“We’ve got to be more clinical and finish off matches. It’s also crucial we maintain the tempo for 90 minutes. We’re still in time to improve, especially as the progress from last season has been notable.”

The Bianconeri will have a chance to make amends for the Genoa draw as they play host to Fiorentina on Tuesday, with Victor Chandler paying no less than 1.80 (4/5) on home win.
