Bundesliga relegation play-off will see Borussia Moenchengladbach and Bochum fight for the place in next year’s competition, with the first leg set to be played at sold out Borussia Park.

Thanks to the impressive run under former Hertha coach Lucien Favre, Borussia managed to avoid the drop, although they have yet to ensure another Bundesliga season.

Having beaten Koln, Borussia Dortmund and Freiburg in their last three home games, die Fohlen are now 1.75 (3/4) with William Hill to create an advantage before the return leg at Bochum.

Coach Lucien Favre believes his side are favourites in this clash and he is happy to welcome Igor de Camargo back to the side. However, Jean-Sebastien Jaures, Jens Wissing and Fabian Backer remain sidelined.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Ter Stegen – Jantschke, Stranzl, Dante, Daems – Reus, Nordtveit, Neustadter, Arango – Idrissou, Hanke.

After spending just one season in second division, Bochum have got a chance to return to the top flight, and that would be a just reward for their performances in the second part of the season.

The team formerly known as Die Unabsteigbaren (the team that cannot get relegated) failed to justify their nickname as they were relegated from Bundesliga last season, but following the dismal start to the season in second division, Bochum showed a lot of improvement in the second part of the league campaign.

The run of 11 wins in last 17 games saw Bochum climb to the third place in the standings, while missing out on automatic promotion only on goal difference.

Seeing that Bochum won three of their last five away games, you should bear in mind that Friedhelm Funkel’s side are 5.25 (21/5) with Victor Chandler to win this game.

The boss should have full squad to choose from, although Mimoun Azaouagh remains injury doubt. Team’s top scorer Jong Tae-Se should play some part after missing the finish of the season through injury.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Luthe – Kopplin, Maltritz, Yahia, Ostrzolek – Vogt, Dabrowski, Johanson – Freier, Aydin, Korkmaz.
