England vs Brazil 2-1Revenge will be the order of the day when Brazil host England at the re-opening of famous Maracana stadium that will be one of the venues for the upcoming World Cup.

The Three Lions defeated the Seleccao in an international friendly back in February, but winning in Brazil could prove to be a very difficult task.

Luiz Felipe Scolari’s second spell in charge of the national team started with the 2-1 defeat at Wembley and no doubt he will do everything in his power to make things right on Sunday.

Brazil haven’t enjoyed a lot of success since the aforementioned game, having shared spoils with Italy, Russia and Chile while defeating Bolivia 4-0.

The national team chiefs have arranged friendlies against England and France as the team continue their preparations for the Confederations Cup, and no doubt they will take the two fixtures very seriously.

With the hosts very motivated to impress the fans at Maracana, nobody is surprised to see that home wins pays 1.57 (4/7) at Betfred.

Luiz Felipe Scolari was planning to play former Lyon forward Fred as a lone striker, but Leandro Damiao looks set to deputize after the 29-year-old picked up a rib injury.

New Barcelona star Neymar is set to start, with PSG’s Lucas Moura likely to occupy the third position in the attack.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Julio Cesar – Alves, Luiz, Silva, Marcelo – Paulinho, Fernando, Oscar – Lucas, Damiao, Neymar.

England have come under a lot of criticism for their performances under Roy Hodgson and disappointing 1-1 home draw with Republic of Ireland did nothing to ease the pressure.

Team’s conservative style of play continues to be criticized, while problems are appearing in all areas of the squad.

Roy Hodgson has yet to find the perfect defensive partnership after both Rio Ferdinand and John Terry announced international retirement, with Gary Cahill and Phil Jagielka starting against Ireland.

As far as the attack is concerned, everybody can see that Wayne Rooney is nowhere near the required form, while injury worries continue to mount.

Considering the circumstances, England don’t look they can create another surprise against the Seleccao, even if BetVictor pays 6.50 (11/2) on away win.

Daniel Sturridge is out after picking up an ankle injury against Ireland, while Danny Welbeck and Jermain Defoe are doubtful.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Hart – Johnson, Jagielka, Cahill, Cole – Carrick, Lampard – Walcott, Rooney, Milner – Defoe.
