Irtysh will be looking to build on the goalless draw in Bulgaria and pip their more illustrious opponents to a place in the next stage, but Levski remain the favourites to go through.

The club from Pavlodar have been on a major uptrend over the last few weeks and they narrowly missed out on the league title last term.

Irtysh had to settle for a Europa League berth after ending the league campaign just two points behind champions Shakhter Karagandy, but they have experienced some problems this term.

After 18 rounds, Talgat Baysufinov’s side sit in sixth place in the standings, no less than 18 points behind leaders Aktobe, but at least they are midway through the domestic season unlike their next opponents.
