With new managers in charge of last season’s top three sides, the Premier League title race is set to be one of the most open since the league’s inception, so all the runners and riders will be extra keen to get points on the table as soon as possible.

At a price of 3.15 (28/13) Manchester City are the favourites to be top of the table on September 3rd.

Last year’s runners-up begin with a trip to Newcastle United in the first Monday evening game of the season, followed by games against newly promoted Cardiff City at home and Hull City away.

Arsenal, who are next in line at 5.0 (4/1), will also be relatively happy with how the opening few fixtures have fallen.

The open with the visit of Aston Villa, and make the short trip to Fulham before the home leg of the North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.

Despite having just two games in August due to the Super Cup final, perennial strong starters Chelsea are just a 6.0 (5./1) shot.

After beginning the season by hosting Hull City, Jose Mourinho’s men visit Manchester United in David Moyes first home game in charge.

Liverpool took just one point from their opening three fixtures last season, but will be confident of a better return from home games against Stoke City and Manchester United, and a trip to Aston Villa.

The Reds are 8.0 (7/1) to be top heading into the international break, just ahead of neighbours Everton, who are priced at 10.0 (9/1).

The Toffee’s, under the guidance of new manager Roberto Martinez, start with trips to Norwich City and Cardiff City, either side of a visit from West Bromwich Albion.

Reigning champions Manchester United are also 10.0 (9/1), due to David Moyes baptism of fire, which sees him face Chelsea and Liverpool after their opening day trip to Swansea City.

Spurs face Crystal Palace at home and Swansea City away before the game against Arsenal, and can be backed at 15.0 (14/1), while West Ham United, who host Cardiff and Stoke either side of a trip to Newcastle are worth considering at 20.0 (19/1).
