The battle for a Champions League qualification spot intensifies on Sunday as Tottenham Hotspur welcome North London rivals Arsenal to White Hart Lane.

Spurs go in to the game on the back of Monday evening’s impressive come-from-behind victory at West Ham United, a result which stretched their unbeaten run in the league to an incredible eleven games and put them in pole position ahead of Arsenal to secure a top four finish.

Jermaine Defoe has recovered from an ankle injury, but is expected to start on the bench while Clint Dempsey joins Younes Kaboul, Sandro and Tom Huddlestone on the side-lines.

At 6.0 (5/1) with several firms, man of the moment Gareth Bale is unsurprisingly favourite to get the first goal of the game having scored twelve goals in his last twelve games, whilst former Gunner Emmanuel Adebayor is a 7.5 (13/2) shot with William Hill.

Back in November, the reverse fixture ended 5-2 to Arsenal, the same result as when the teams met at the Emirates last season, though Arsene Wenger’s men have not won on their last four visits to White Hart Lane.
