With only eight games remaining in the English Premier League, there are many issue still to be resolved at both ends of the table. Below is a selection of some of the best football special bets regarding those key issues.

Manchester United’s narrow victory against Fulham was their seventh in eight games, a run that has seen them become odds-on favourites to claim their twentieth league title.  Aside from their highly anticipated trip to the Etihad Stadium on April 30th, their toughest test is arguably Monday’s game at Blackburn Rovers.

If Sir Alex Ferguson’s men come through this round of fixtures unscathed, they go into a run of four favourable fixtures leading up to a Manchester derby that may not be as pivotal in the title race as many expect.

United have away games at relegation threatened Wigan Athletic and QPR, as well as home games against Everton, and struggling Aston Villa.

Meanwhile whilst Manchester City will be confident of picking up maximum points at home to West Bromwich Albion and away to Wolverhampton Wanderers, they will face a tough visit from Sunderland this weekend, as well as tricky trips to Arsenal and Norwich.

If you fancy Blackburn to get anything against United, then the title could well be won by whoever takes the points when the Manchester clubs meet. Bet Victor are offering 9/2 for this to be the case:-

Manchester United to win the title against Manchester City – 4.5 (9/2)

Alternatively, if United get all three points on Monday, it could be argued that they could go on to win all of their remaining fixtures, which Paddy Power offer at 20/1:-

Manchester United to win all of their remaining fixtures – 21.0 (20/1)

If Manchester City are to catch their neighbours, it could be due to the reintroduction of Carlos Tevez. His assist for Samir Nasri’s winner against Chelsea reminded City’s rivals what the Argentinian is capable of, but can he chip in with the goals to help Roberto Mancini’s men push Manchester United all the way? Bet Victor are offering odds of 3/1 that the striker bags more than three goals before the end of the season:-

Carlos Tevez to score four or more league goals in the next eight games – 4.0 (3/1)

At the other end of the table, Wigan caused a huge shock with victory at Anfield last weekend. Another shock result in one of their three forthcoming fixtures against teams in the top five could just be enough to save them, especialy given their rather favourable final four fixtures. Stan James give a price of 9/4 for Wigan to yet again complete the great escape

Wigan to finish 17th or above – 3.25 (9/4)

On the other hand, Queens Park Rangers have an unenviable set of fixtures as they attempt to defy the odds and hold on to their Premiership status. Their run, which includes all of the top five, as well as tough home games against Stoke and Swansea, and a visit to West Brom, might just be too much for Mark Hughes men, and Stan James are offering 11/4 for Rangers to finish bottom of the table:-

Queens Park Rangers to finish bottom of the league – 3.75 (11/4)
