Sunday afternoon’s game at Anfield sees Liverpool face local rivals Everton in the 220th Merseyside derby, with much more than points at stake.

Brendan Rodgers men go in to the game on the back of last weekend’s 6-0 demolition of Newcastle United, a result which extended their unbeaten run to five games.

The Reds have actually only lost once in the last ten games, but look destined to finish outside of the top six for a second season in succession.

The hosts will again be without top scorer Luis Suarez for the game, as he continues his ten match suspension so Daniel Sturridge, who scored twice in last week’s rout at Newcastle United, is set to again lead the line.

Fabio Borini, who scored moments after coming off the bench on his return to first team action last weekend, is likely to again be named among the substitutes, though Raheem Sterling is set to miss out again. Joe Allen and Martin Kelly are both long term absentees.

Sturridge is 6.0 (5/1) favourite with Coral to get the first goal of the game while Steven Gerrard, who has eight career goals against the Toffees, is a 9.0 (8/1) shot with Bet Victor.

Liverpool are favourites for the win at a best price of 2.0 (1/1) with Paddy Power, with Everton a 4.4 (17/5) chance with Bet Victor. The draw is 3.75 (11/4) with Bet 365.

The visitors currently sit in sixth position, one place and five points above their neighbours with three games to play.
Their 1-0 win over Fulham last time out was their first in three games, and kept alive their slim hopes of qualifying for next seasons Champions League.

Phil Neville will miss the game with a knee injury, though Darron Gibson could feature after missing out last weekend.

Nikica Jelavic is 10.0 (9/1) with Bet Victor to score first, ahead of top scorer Marouane Fellaini who is 11.0 (10/1) with the same firm.

This meeting is usually a tempestuous affair, with twenty red cards being shown over the forty-one Premier League clashes to date, so you may want to take advantage of the 3.1 (21/10) on offer from Paddy Power for there to be a sending off this time around.
